It is widely accepted that creative activities in a child’s
early formative years is highly beneficial to the child’s
development. Our sessions are developed to:-
Provide your child with
a solid foundation of knowledge and undersdtanding of the
world around them.
Thinking about shapes
and circles.

Jemima decided the circles
looked like flowers and she wanted to give her Nan something
special
During
our structured themed programmes Animal Antics, Thing’s
that go Va Va Vroom etc, we experiment with ‘hands
on discovery’ activities to explore; texture, sound,
colour, shape, transport and feelings.
We help the children to make their own connections through
their senses and their own actions, to discover more about
the world and about other people. The children are involved
in making marks and patterns, organising, identifying and
grouping objects, interacting with others in a large group
(a maximum of 14 other children) and then in smaller groups,
discovering cause and effect i.e. What happens if…
Thinking about Shiny.

Josh wanted a triangle shape because rockets are shiny and
green? …because he likes green!
Our sessions provide a secure and
social group to enable the child to begin positive relationships
with others, and to identify and share thoughts, feelings
and ideas. We use songs and lots of visual aids to support
the child’s language development.
Our magic ‘ideas’ box captures the child’s
imagination and we talk and listen to comments on what they
have found.
Each child is encouraged to make choices about what they
are going to ’explore’ and to talk about what
they are doing. As the child’s self confidence builds,
their creative activity will be praised and shown to others
e.g. ‘Look what effect Oliver has made with his paint;
he did this by scratching the paint with the end of the
brush’ (alternatively the child will say how they
did something)- what a great idea- lets all try what Oliver
has done’
